CALAIS — Police arrested a New York man Saturday on a felony charge of possession of heroin.
Nicholas Droutzkoy, 45, of Riverdale, N.Y., was arrested shortly after 9 a.m. on Lowell Street in the downtown area and charged with one count of felony possession of heroin. Calais police Officer Shawn Donahue made the arrest.
Droutzkoy was taken to the Calais Police Department and was still in custody Sunday afternoon. The incident is still under investigation, according to Officer Brad Bouton. No further details were available at press time.
