McGary paces Houlton to win

HOULTON – Erica McGary led a balanced Houlton attack with 23 points as the Shiretowners posted a 73-68 schoolgirl basketball win over Fort Kent Friday night.

Jennie Cowperthwaite scored 13 and Kelly Socoby netted 12 for Houlton. Jessica Prosser netted 10 points.

Robin Lamarr scored a game-high 29 points for Fort Kent. Trista Leblanc tossed in 13 points and Andrea Marquis added 11.

At Narraguagus, the Knights of Harrington outscored the Dragons 20-1 in the third quarter and held on for the win.

Heather Knapp scored 22 points and had eight steals for Narraguagus, while Meagan Skinner and Brittany Howe added 15 and 16 points, respectively. Howe also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Heather Sprague scored 19 for Woodland. Bonny Smith netted 10.
