Players of the Week

College ANGIE RAMOS

WATERVILLE – Angie Ramos, a senior forward for Thomas College has been named Maine Athletic Conference Player of the Week for women’s basketball. She scored 15 points and pulled down 19 rebounds in a win over St. Joseph’s College, and set a new career rebounding record with over 1100.

LIZA DOUGHTY

BANGOR – Liza Doughty of Hermon is the Rookie of the Week for the Maine Athletic Conference. Doughty scored 13 points for Husson College in a win over the University of New England.

LAUGHN BERTHIAUME

FARMINGTON – Laughn Berthiaume, a senior from Fort Kent, is the Maine Athletic Conference Player of the Week for men’s basketball. He averaged 18 points and four assists for the University of Maine-Farmington during two victories.

JEREMY BRYANT

FARMINGTON – Jeremy Bryant, a freshman at the University of Maine-Farmington has earned the Rookie of the Week honors for the Maine Athletic Conference. Bryant averaged 15.5 points and four assists in two wins.

STEPHANIE HUFF

PRESQUE ISLE – Stephanie Huff, a junior center at the University of Maine-Presque Isle has been chosen the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Week. She averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds in a 2-0 week.

KATE MCLAUGHLIN

LEWISTON – Kate McLaughlin is the Maine Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Rookie of the Week after averaging 17.3 points and almost nine rebounds for Bates College.
