MILBRIDGE — The Washington Hancock Community Agency has created two funds that will be available to help with immediate needs and long-term problems due to the recent ice storm and power outages.
The Storm Recovery Loan Fund is available immediately to homeowners. This loan can be used to pay for damage to electrical, heating or plumbing systems which affect health and safety. People may borrow $500 to $2,800, at an interest rate of 5 percent. The loans will be given first-come, first-served.
