Carver powers Cougars> 23 2nd-half points sink Penquis Valley

SHERMAN STATION – Cassie Carver scored 23 of her game-high 30 points in the second half to lead Katahdin to a 66-55 schoolgirl basketball victory over Penquis Valley on Friday.

Laura Ordway and Jill Kelley scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the Cougars.

Erin Weston scored 16 points to pace the Patriots of Milo. Lauren Hamlin tossed in 11 points and Annie Gray had 10.
