BRUNSWICK — Sandor M. Polster, former news editor and producer of NBC Nightly News, will become the managing editor of The Times Record in Brunswick next month.
His appointment, announced Friday by Publisher Douglas M. Niven, takes effect Feb. 2. He will succeed Martin P. McKenna, managing editor of The Times Record since 1992.
McKenna is leaving the newspaper to stay home with his new daughter and to do freelance writing and editing.
Polster, a resident of Durham, has worked for The Associated Press, The New York Post, CBS Evening news.
