Federal and state officials will begin conducting meetings around the state Tuesday, Jan. 20, to brief public officials and qualifying nonprofit organizations on how to apply for public assistance funds available from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The meetings will not address claims from private individuals.
The briefings will be held for each county as follows:
Kennebec County, 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, Augusta Civic Center.
Franklin County, 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, County Courthouse, Farmington.
Oxford County, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, Superior Court building, South Paris.
York County, 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, York County Courthouse, Alfred.
Cumberland County, 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, Emergency Management Agency Bunker, South Windham.
Androscoggion County, 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, fire station basement, 45 Oak St., Lewiston.
Penobscot County, 9 a.m Thursday, Jan. 22, Penobscot County Courthouse, Bangor.
Piscataquis County, 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, County Courthouse, Dover-Foxcroft.
Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties, 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, Wiscasset Town Office.
Knox County, 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, County Courthouse, Rockland.
