OLD TOWN — Robert B. Fiske, Old Town City Council president and chief forester for the James Sewall Co., has announced his candidacy for the state Senate. Fiske, a Republican, is seeking the District 7 seat held by Orono Democrat Mary Cathcart.

Fiske also has served on the Old Town school board and is the former New England chair of the Society of American Foresters.
