DEXTER — A proposal submitted by W.B.R.C. Architects/Engineers of Bangor was selected by SAD 46 in conjunction with about $400,000 in school improvements.
SAD 46 directors Monday interviewed representatives of three companies before inviting W.B.R.C. to return for a second interview Friday to negotiate a fee for engineering services.
Ten firms submitted proposals to the district, but only three were interviewed, according to Superintendent Gilbert Reynolds.
Reynolds said the other two firms interviewed Monday were the Ames Corp. of Bangor and Bunker and Savage of Augusta.
SAD 46 residents approved a $400,000 bond issue last year for school improvements. This amount, however, includes bond counsel fees and engineering and architects fees.
