BANGOR DAILY NEWS (BANGOR, MAINE

BANGOR — Tree limbs and branches downed by last week’s ice storm may be placed at the curb for pickup by Bangor’s Public Works Department.

Residents placing limbs or branches at the curb must keep them out of the traveled way and off sidewalks. If limbs and branches are involved with wires, the public works department urges residents to not touch them until Bangor Hydro-Electric Co. declares that it is safe to do so. Public works will be working on the removal and chipping of these limbs and branches in the next few weeks. Removal from curbs will take place as soon as possible.

Limbs do not have to be cut up by residents.

Residents wanting to get rid of limbs and branches immediately may bring them to the public works department at 530 Maine Ave. Before leaving any materials, residents should check in with the dispatch office.

For more information, call public works at 942-0220.
