DOVER-FOXCROFT – Nick Laita scored eight of his game-high 15 points in the first quarter as Foxcroft jumped out to a 19-6 lead en route to a 62-34 win over Bucksport in schoolboy basketball action Monday.
Laita also hauled down 12 rebounds.
Andy Lizotte and Mike Grant had 10 points each for the winners, who built a comfortable 34-12 halftime lead. Seth Kimball dished out five assists.
Buzz Simpson’s 11 points paced Bucksport.

At Lee, the Howlers of Penobscot Valley outscored Lee Academy 18-6 in the second quarter to take a 10-point halftime lead and hold on for the win.
Mitchelle Doyon led all scorers with 29 points for the Howlers. Shanonn Cole led the Pandas with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
