Kingsbury Pond camp burglarized, vandalized

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Police are investigating a break-in at a camp on Kingsbury Pond in which numerous items were taken.

An inventory of the items taken is being complied by the owner for Sgt. Robert Young and Investigator Guy Dow of the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Department.

Dow said Monday that the missing items included a shotgun, an outboard motor, a generator, an air compressor, miscellaneous tools, a chain saw and a sawsall.

Dow said the owner had visited his camp last week and returned on Sunday to find the lock broken, the camp in shambles and the items missing.

Police are also investigating a report from a Monson man that his motor vehicle, a 1984 Mustang, had been trashed while it was parked for the night at Borestone Mountain.

A Sangerville resident reported to police that her camp on Lake Hebron had been broken into and that someone apparently had been living in the camp.
