Hermon to host kids’ area Christmas party

HERMON — A Christmas party will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 13, at Hermon High School for children in kindergarten through grade 5 in Hermon, Carmel, Glenburn and Levant.

Hot dogs, punch and ice cream will be served, and local police officers will be on hand for activities which will include a sing-along, cartoon videos, face painting, games, cookie decorating and a visit from “a special guest,” according to Hermon Deputy Bill Laughlin.

The party is sponsored by the towns and recreation departments of Hermon, Levant, Carmel and Glenburn, by Hermon High School, the Community Students Service Committee, Hermon Boosters Club, the Hermon Masons, Hermon Baptist Church, Hermon Oddfellows, Carmel Union Congregational Church, Schwan’s Home Food service in Hermon and the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department.

Children may be dropped off at 9:30 a.m. and should be picked up no later than 12:30 p.m. There is no fee.
