Whistle Stop Lunch set for railroad buffs at UM

ORONO — Railroad fans may enjoy a Whistle Stop Lunch with Bill Soule at noon Friday, Nov. 7, at the Page Museum on the University of Maine campus. More events also await modelers during the weekend.

Soule, who is a member of the Maine Model Railroad Club, will speak on the history of model railroading and developments in the hobby. At 7 p.m. Friday, Soule will demonstrate an operating model train exhibit that will remain at the museum through Saturay.

At noon Saturday, Richard Sprague and Wayne Duplissea, retired Bangor and Aroostook Railroad employees, will talk about the impact of the B&A on Maine.

Museum hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. For information, call 581-4100.
