Ian McCaw named to Northeastern job

BOSTON – Northeastern University on Friday named Ian McCaw, a Tulane University official, its new athletic director.

McCaw, 34, will take over the post on June 1. He replaces Barry Gallup, who resigned in December to coach the football team full-time.

McCaw, who joined Tulane in 1992, most recently was the senior associate athletic director. He was responsible for 16 sports and a $14 million budget.

Priot to Tulane, McCaw worked at the University of Maine from 1986-92.
