Guerrette 3-hitter sparks Wisdom to win

ST. AGATHA – Tracy Guerrette hurled a three-hitter, striking out three and walking three, to lead Wisdom to a 13-2 schoolgirl softball win over Van Buren Wednesday.

Kim Michaud had a three run double for the Pioneers. She finished with three hits and four RBIs. Becky Pelletier, Jen Derosier and Jill Pelletier all added two hits.

Morgan Parent had two singles to lead Van Buren.

Jonesport-Beals 43, Lubec 3

At Jonesport, the Royalettes put together a 26-hit attack to overwhelm Lubec.

Tammy Alley led the charge with two home runs, two triples, two singles and nine RBIs. Courtney Bryant doubled, tripled and homered to drive in four runs, Tricia Carver smacked a pair of singles and home runs for six RBIs. Renee Davis singled and tripled twice for four RBIs, and Robin Woodward had three singles.

At Woodland, Heather Farrell gave up one run and three hits and struck out nine as she led the Blue Devils to the win.

At Harrington, Sumner put together a 12-hit attack to topple Narraguagus.

Amber Pinkham knocked a triple, a single and two RBIs, Joslyn Brenton and Danielle Martin both had a double, single. Brenton had drove in two runs.

Connie Look led the Knights of Harrington with a double, two singles and three RBIs, April Wallace had two singles, and Holly Strout added a double.

At East Corinth, Teresa Dow hit a solo home run, doubled and singled to lead Central to the victory.

Angie Allen blasted a three-run homer and singled for the Red Devils.

At Belfast, Belfast’s 18 hits overpowered Wiscasset as the Lions cruised to the win.

Belfast’s Sarah Berry had two base hits and a home run, Darci Brown and Tanya Flood had three singles apiece. Lisa Barrows, Maghan Vaughan, and Jessica Aldus each had two singles.

Vaughan gave up four hits and struck out seven.

At Bangor, Stephani Regan pitched a three-hitter and fanned 12 to power the Pats.

At Millinocket, Jenn Wilson scatter five hits and gave up a lone run in the top of the first to pick up a win for Stearns.

Lisa Santerre has a single and two RBIs for the Minutemen. Brooke Legassey added two RBIs and Meredith Oliver was 2-for-2 and walked twice.

Carrie Beckett had two singles and the lone RBI for John Bapst of Bangor. Kelli Wong added two singles.

At Lee, Denise Gardner scattered seven hits and allowed just three runs to pick up the win for the Wolverines of East Millinocket.

At Searsport, junior fireballer Sarah Webster hurled her second no-hitter in five days, striking out 20 and walking none, to lead the Vikings past Deer Isle-Stonington.

Webster held Piscataquis hitless on Saturday and has struck out 61 batters in four games. She has given up only five hits all season.

Webster helped her own cause with a two triples, a double and a single, driving in five runs. Jodie Larrabee pitched in with four singles, a double and five RBIs, while Jessi Barton rapped four singles and two doubles.

At Woodland, Calais’ Jason Lynch broke up Tony Robb’s bid for a no-hitter with a single in the fifth inning. Robb finished the game with 10 strikeouts and eight walks, allowing just two hits.

Ryan Thornton had two singles and five RBIs to spark the Dragons offense. Daryl Huwa added a single and two RBIs.

After falling behind 8-1, the Pandas hit three homers in the fifth to cut the lead to 8-6. Charles Aldrich, Travis Jacobs and Erik Worster all hit homers in the sixth.

Darren Stanley also had two singles and a three-run homer to lead the Wolverines. P.J. Stanley also had a double and a two-run home run.

Jake Smith’s three-run homer in the sixth tied the game for Penobscot Valley of Howland. Smith also doubled and had an RBI single, Matt Lindsay had pair of RBI singles, and Matt Menard singled and doubled. Steve Hallett had two singles.

At Millinocket, Joel Perry and Nate Waring each hit two-run homers in a six-run third-inning rally that snapped a 3-3 tie and gave John Bapst the lead for good.

Waring also doubled twice and drove in three runs for the Crusaders. Perry added a double and drove in three runs, Jeff Millard and Richard Hyatt doubled and singled with Millard picking up an RBI. Derek Damon singled twice and drove in a run.

Stearns’ Corey Streams had a double and two singles for five RBIs. Darrin Daniels had three singles and three RBIs, Jason Folsom had a double and a single for two RBIs and Aaron Civiello doubled, singled and drove in a run.

King added two singles and a home run to finish with four RBIs. Preston had a homer, a double and three RBIs. Trevor Bristol also had three RBIs. Matt King stuck out 10 batters.

Adam Austin had a two run homer, while Spencer Day and Jerid Otis both had two hits for the Warriors of Newport.

Rod Damon had a single, home run and double for Searsport. George Tripp and Nate Hale each smacked a double and single. Matt Martin added a double and two singles and Paul Rybarczyk had two base hits.
