BANGOR DAILY NEWS (BANGOR, MAINE

The Maine Office of Tourism deserves applause for its efforts during QVC’s Maine week, the week of Sept. 9. QVC (a home shopping television network reaching some 70 million viewers all over the world) spent a week showcasing Maine’s unique craftmanship and quality products in communities all over the state.

The Maine Office of Tourism should be extremely proud of its effort, both in luring QVC to Maine during their “Quest for America’s Best” contest, allowing Maine to become one of only seven states in the U.S. to be showcased; and in coordinating the network’s stay in our state.

Anyone who viewed Maine week will agree — what a great promotional tool for our state! Not only did many small businesses get a rare opportunity to market the best Maine has to offer, but the beauty and ingenuity of our state was broadcast across America. Without a doubt, tourism will surely increase and Maine workmanship will become more famous as a result of one week on QVC. Congratulations to the Maine Office of Tourism on a job well done.

LeBlanc’s Gourmet Lobster Stew was honored to be chosen to appear on QVC’s broadcast. Last week, we sold out of lobster stew in only a few hours during our live appearance. We were simply overwhelmed by the success of this Maine-made product, and sincerely appreciate the support of everyone involved. Patty LeBlanc LeBlanc’s Gourmet Lobster Stew Presque Isle
