NORTHEAST HARBOR — WGME-TV, Portland, and WGAN-AM, Portland, won top honors in the Same-Day Newscast category at the Maine Association of Broadcasters’ annual awards ceremony Saturday.
Seven television stations and 13 radio stations across the state were honored for excellence in news and creative achievement.
The association announced its 1996 award winners at its annual convention, held at the Asticou Inn in Northeast Harbor.
