ORONO — Police Chief Robert Mulhern has announced that five spaces remain for the Citizens Police Academy.
The academy, which is aimed at educating the public on law enforcement topics, is open to up to 30 Orono residents who are at least 18 years old and who have no police record. It also is open to nonresidents who own businesses in Orono.
Sessions will be held in the Public Safety Building from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on eight consecutive Thursdays beginning this week. To register or for information, call the Police Department.
