GRAND ISLE — “Bienvenue Chez-Nous,” a three-day welcome home celebration filled with music and meals, will be held at Grand Isle, July 26-28.
This year’s theme is “Northern Roundup.”
Activities will start at 9 a.m. and run until 1 a.m. for all three days at the Grand Isle Elementary School. Food, souvenirs and contests will be held through the weekend.
Included will be music by Louis Caron, Guy Johnson, the Jerry T. Band, the Morrow Family and Dean Pelletier, all musicians from the St. John Valley. There will also be traditional music at the Centre Culturelle du Mont-Carmel, the former Lille Village Catholic Church.
At 7 p.m. July 26 a talent show will be held at the Grand Isle Elementary School.
At 10 a.m. July 28 a memorial light ceremony will be held at the school in memory of people who have died. People will be able to purchase memorial lights for the ceremony.
