Richard J. Warren, publisher of the Bangor Daily News, recently appointed John P. Bishop to the position of president of Bangor Daily News Enterprises.
Bishop has worked for the NEWS for 25 years, most recently serving as vice president of operations.
As president of BDN Enterprises, Bishop will be responsible for developing opportunities in electronic delivery of news and advertising and for exploring news information-based products for Bangor Publishing Co.
Warren also appointed James A. Spox as circulation manager and Elizabeth E. Hansen as director of marketing services.
Spox, most recently serving as marketing administration manager, has been with the NEWS for 28 years. Hansen has served the NEWS in various capacities for 10 years, most recently as marketing services analyst.
Wayne Lawton, advertising director, also announced that three advertising sales managers will compose his management team:
Nancy J. Golding, a 23-year veteran of the NEWS, will assume responsibility for classified advertising; Dana B. Leeman, who has been with the NEWS for 20 years, will be responsible for all aspects of retail advertising; and J. Michael Kearney, who has been with the NEWS for 17 years, will be responsible for special sections and national advertising.
