Houlton prevails in OT

FORT FAIRFIELD – Ben Goodwin scored seven of his 25 points in overtime, including going 5-for-5 from the line, to give Houlton a 72-69 win over Fort Fairfield.

Chris Spencer scored 14 and Lucas Ritchie chipped in 13 for the Shiretowners.

For Fort Fairfield, Jon Nichols led all scorers with 32 points. Aaron McGinnis tossed in 17 and Don DeMerchant poured in 13.

At Hodgdon, the Hawks wiped out a 12-point deficit, taking the lead for good with a 14-0 run in the second quarter.

Sam Henderson tossed in 21 points for Hodgdon, with Darren Stewart providing 12 points and Adam Carter 11 points and eight rebounds.

Ryan Cyr led the way for Madawaska with 20 points, while Eddie Marshall connected for 18. Randy Bourgoin added 10.

Jason Redding paced Calais with 20 points and Bob MacMannis netted 18. Lucas Reardon contributed 14 points and 13 rebounds.

John Barnes came up with 16 points and 12 rebounds to spark the Tigers. Mike Raye and Willie Suddy scored 13 and 12 points, respectively.
