Corliss powers MDI to victory

MOUNT DESERT ISLAND – Marc Corliss scored a game-high 21 points and Ben Ketchen scored seven of his nine points in the final quarter to lead the Trojans to a 71-56 win over Sumner in schoolboy basketball action Friday night.

Matt Ketchen scored 15 points for MDI.

Davey Seward scored 19 points and Chris Carter added 15 for the Tigers. Willy Seward and Adam Knowlton each had 10.

Willey Sleeper paced the Cougars with a game-high 24 points, including six three-point baskets. Luke Cullins scored 15 points and Nate Richardson chipped in 14.
