I wanted to write a note echoing Clifford J. Rosen’s statements of March 2 in his column in the Bangor Daily News titled, “Brave new world of medical care.” Technology creates longer lives creating costs; no longer is the patient the primary concern, and care is becoming less and less humane.
Who dares think of care tomorrow? I pray that care for the poor and poor children, the disabled and the elderly grows no worse. I really don’t think these people were the “America who spoke” last November.
I’ve often heard it said that God has blessed America. I wonder if he will continue as we show less and less regard for “His” people? Also, I note each election that beliefs change or alter by most if it means money or a vote.
I don’t know Dr. Rosen, but I wanted to say, “Thank you for caring.” Margaret Walsh Mason Bangor
