ROCKLAND — Knox County Sheriff Daniel Davey has purchased a new business, but has no plans to step down before his term expires in 1998.
“This is my last term, and I am looking around for something to get into when it runs out,” said Davey. Davey purchased the Rockland Wholesale Building on Park Street at a public auction.
The sheriff said he bought the building on speculation with no concrete plans. He has investigated putting an Army-Navy store in the Park Street building, but no decision has been made.
