Santa’s Helper Fund tops $16,000, thanks to students, many others

The response to the weekend appeal for the Santa’s Helper Fund was encouraging, with more than $1,880 donated. The fund, as of Monday afternoon, had reached $16,219.

The eighth-grade students at Bangor Christian School donated $50 for the fund out of their own pockets, and employees at a few businesses pooled their resources to make significant contributions.

There’s not much time for your donation to reach the Santa’s Helper Fund before Christmas, so if you haven’t donated yet, please send whatever you can spare to Santa’s Helper Fund, P.O. Box 1329, Bangor, ME 04402-1329. The Salvation Army is deserving of this support.
