Wholesale Depot stores in Bangor, Augusta and Auburn are going out of business and have been ordered to liquidate their assets.
Based in Natick, Mass., Wholesale Depot had filed for reorganizaton under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in May. Recently the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Massachusetts required Wholesale Depot to liquidate its remaining nine stores, including the three in Maine.
In Bangor, the store will open for its regular hours from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. through Friday. A store spokesman said the company would assess the situation at the end of the week to determine what hours, if any, the store would be open in subsequent weeks.
