ELLSWORTH — David Armstrong, regarded as one of this country’s most respected artists of the American landscape today, will exhibit his works in a show to benefit the Frenchman Bay Conservancy, Aug. 9 through Sept. 3, at the Ellsworth Public Library.
A public reception for the 46-year-old artist will be held at the opening of the exhibition from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9.
Prints of his oil painting “Silent Light” will be on sale to benefit the Frenchman Bay Conservancy, a local land trust aimed at preserving the Frenchman Bay watershed area.
