SOUTH PORTLAND — The state Board of Education will meet Wednesday, April 13, to consider projects in a number of Maine locations.
After morning workshops and a 1 p.m. meeting of the Chapter 2 Advisory Committee, the board will meet at 2 p.m.
Items to be considered in the category of special projects, with proposed date for concept approval, are: Dixfield, SAD 21, addition to Dirigo High School, January 1997. Fort Fairfield, SAD 20, middle school addition to Fort Fairfield High School, January 1997. Gray, SAD 15, addition to Russell School, January 1997. Holden, SAD 63, an addition to Holbrook School, January 1995. Lamoine, addition to Lamoine Consolidated School, January 1996. St. George, SAD 50, addition to St. George Elementary School, January 1996. Troy, SAD 3, addition to Troy Elementary School, January 1995. Wales, addition to Wales Central School, January 1995. Winterport, SAD 22, addition to Leroy Smith School, January 1996.
The board also will consider funding approval of an addition to Hanson School in Lebanon in the amount of $1.44 million. Concept approval was granted last December.
