Recently, this newspaper reported that the SAD 28 superintendent told the Camden Rotary Club that the “two-town” option to solve the space problem at Camden-Rockport High School would cost $4.5 million.
I was chairman of the Two-Town High School Subcommittee, and I quote from my report to the SAD 28 board on Aug. 25, 1992, “… we do not need any building project. …”
“No” building project does not cost $4.5 million, no construction costs zero — that’s Z-E-R-O. The superintendent has a copy of my committee’s report; is he deliberately misleading the public? Thoms J. Derby Camden
