Presque Isle chief to head association

PRESQUE ISLE — James Ferland, chief of the Presque Isle Police Department, will become president of the Maine Chiefs of Police Association during the fall meeting Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 7-9, at Keddy’s Motor Inn.

A training session on total quality management will be presented by Brian Warren from Gov. McKernan’s office on Thursday.

A limited number of tickets are available to the public for the reception and banquet for the new officers on Friday, Oct. 8. A social hour from 6 to 7 p.m. will precede a dinner.

More information on tickets is available from the Presque Isle Police Department administrative office before Tuesday, Oct. 5.
