Dorcas Library hours listed

PROSPECT HARBOR — The Dorcas Library is open from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday; and from 10 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday during July and August.

The library is seeking book donations for its annual book sale to be held Aug. 7. Donors may drop books at the library during open hours on Wednesday and Saturday or call Sheila Daley at 963-7018 to arrange for pickup. The book sale is a major fund-raiser for the library.

Patrons with overdue books are encouraged to return them to the library during Amnesty Days, July 14 and 17. No fines will be charged on overdue books returned on those dates.

The library is sponsoring a return trip of the North Starlab Planetarium on July 26. Two programs will be presented at the Prospect Harbor Woman’s Club building — 1:30 p.m., “The World of Dinosaurs” for children in grades one-three; and 2:45 p.m., “The Sky Tonight” for children in grades four-eight. Each show lasts one hour. More information is available at the library.

The Summer Reading Club welcomes area children during July and August. Children who have completed grades three-five meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays. Eleanor Young, club leader, may be contacted at 963-7668 for more information.
