At Ellsworth, Peter Wolley’s single with one out in the bottom of the seventh lifted the Downeast Yankees to 5-4 win over the Central Maine Cubs in the first game of an Eastern Maine Amateur Baseball Leauge doubleheader on Sunday.
Central Maine earned the split with an 11-6 win in the second game.
In the first game, Danny Kane had a double, two singles, and two RBIs for the 3-6 winners while Wolley added a double and Eric Lanks had a two-run home run.
For Central Maine, 7-3, Ryan Dearborn scored three runs with a triple and a single.
In the second game, Dearborn and Lanks each had two singles and two RBIs while Glenn Tufts had a pair of base hits.
For Downeast, Lanks had a double and two singles while Kane had two singles and an RBI. David Gray also had two singles.

At Mahaney Diamond in Orono, Leroy Decker (3-0) walked none, allowed three hits, and struck out five to pace Molunkus to a 5-1 victory.
For the 9-0 Molunkus Travellers, Aaron Knowles hit a solo homer in the fourth, Steve Coombs singled twice and stole a base, and Harold Brooks hit a two-run double.
Robbie White hit an RBI triple for 2-5 Bangor-Brewer.
