PRESQUE ISLE — Martha Dow, a student at Northern Maine Technical College, received the school’s President’s Award during graduation ceremonies held May 15.

Dow, who gradated from the office systems technology program, is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honorary society, and has served in the student senate and on the college’s affirmative action committee.

Dow assisted with campus voter registration as a peer tutor, and was involved in other student activities.

“Her enthusiasm for parenting and for learning has demonstrated that the nontraditional student can integrate school and family activity,” said Durward R. Huffman, president of the Presque Isle campus.
