BUXTON — A weekend highway accident at the intersection of U.S. 202 and Portland Road has claimed the life of a Limerick woman, authorities said Sunday.
Lynne Langlais, 36, was killed Saturday evening when the car she was riding in failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a pickup truck, said Officer Francis Pulsoni.
The driver of the car, Paul D. McDonald, 23, of Alfred, was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where a nursing supervisor said Sunday his condition was serious.
Kelvin J. Washington, 19, of Buxton, who was driving the pickup, was examined at the scene by rescue personnel, Pulsoni said.
