CARIBOU — The following people were sentenced on June 1 in Aroostook County Superior Court in Caribou by Justice Paul T. Pierson:

Charged with unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs were: Paul Cote, 34, New Sweden, one year in jail, all but 10 days suspended, two years of probation, $1,000; and Sandra Cote, 33, New Sweden, one year in jail, suspended, two years of probation, $1,000. Sentences for both defendents were joint recommendations by the state and defense attorneys.

John A. Mason, 50, Westfield, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, seven days in jail, one-year license suspension, $700; operating a motor vehicle after license suspension, five days in jail, to be served concurrently.

Wayne Cyr, 27, St. Agatha, driving to endanger, $250.

Raymond Farris, 27, Sheridan, burglary, one year in jail, all but 45 days suspended, one year of probation; theft, 10 days in jail; sexual abuse of a minor, 30 days in jail, to be served consecutively to previously mentioned sentence.

Rodney Tarbox, 24, Washburn, unauthorized use of property, five days in jail.

Bruce G. MacDonald, 27, Presque Isle, disorderly conduct, $100.

Reginald A. Berry, 23, Ashland, assault, 30 days in jail, suspended, six months in jail. The sentence was a joint recommendation by prosecuting and defense attorneys.

Robert A. Merriam, 31, Presque Isle, unlawful furnishing in scheduled drugs, nine months in jail, all but 120 days suspended, one year of probation.
