GREENVILLE — The second annual Forest Heritage Days, a celebration to recognize all who have contributed to the Maine Forest Products industry, will be held Friday through Sunday, Aug. 21-23, in Greenville.
A three-day program of education and entertainment is on tap for this year’s event which will feature exhibits, displays, working equipment demonstrations, competitions and lectures, sponsored by the Greenville Forest Heritage Committee and the Moosehead Lake Region Chamber of Commerce.
Inside and outside exhibitor space will be available at no charge to those interested in participating in the festivities by writing the Forest Heritage Committee, P.O. Box 7, Greenville 04441.
Tentative plans include public meals, a cruise, a dance, and a speech by Dr. Frederick E. Hutchinson, president of the University of Maine.
