Camden plans herb, plant sale at park

CAMDEN — Merryspring Park will hold its annual herb and plant sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 30, at the park.

A variety of herb divisions from the park’s herb and lily gardens and perennial and annual plants will be offered. New this year is a garage sale of new and used garden tools and furniture.

Members of Merryspring will have an opportunity to attend a preview sale from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the park.

People should bring flats or bags in which to carry home purchases. Extras may be brought for use by others. Those with garden tools, implements or furniture they would like to donate should contact Aileen Lubin, who will arrange to have them picked up.

The 66-acre Merryspring Park, located at the end of Conway Road behind the Camden IGA, is a non-profit orgainization which depends on contributions and memberships to operate a park containg raised beds; herb, rose and lily gardens; the Kitty Todd Arboretum, the Margaret Pattison Woodlands, miles of connecting trails and fields of wildflowers.
