Over the weekend, damage was done to a clubhouse owned by Paul Richardson of Otter Creek. Mount Desert Police Department said that several juveniles were involved and that their parents had been informed.

A 15-inch women’s bicycle was reported stolen in Bar Harbor earlier this week when the owner left it in front of Rosalie’s Pizza. The bicycle frame later was found on West Street.

On Tuesday, the owner of a car with New York plates reported to the Bar Harbor police that the back window of his vehicle had been shattered, apparently the target of a BB gun.

Sometime between mid-January and this week, a car parked behind Seaview Family Restaurant was broken into. The driver’s window was broken, the glove box was ransacked, and ceiling fabric was ripped. Jumper cables and stereo speakers were taken.

On Monday, a Bar Harbor resident reported her leather wallet and checkbook had been taken from her car. The wallet contained cash, credit cards and identification. Sgt. Glenn Grant said Wednesday an arrest in that case was imminent.

A Southwest Harbor resident reported his wallet had been taken from his mother’s car parked at the Bar Harbor Mainway on Monday. In addition to cash, the wallet contained credit cards, his birth certificate, and identification.

The Bar Harbor Club apparently was entered illegally over the weekend. On Monday, it was reported that about $1,500 worth of damage had been done to the building. Windows and a mirror were broken.

Three young males, ranging in age from 17 to 19, were issued warnings on Sunday about throwing water balloons at passing vehicles on Cottage Street in Bar Harbor.

Acts of vandalism to the alleyway between the Bar Harbor Banking and Trust building and Ben and Bill’s were reported to police Monday.

Last week, a Route 3 Bar Harbor resident reported the left rear window of her car had been broken.

Daniel Spencer, 31, of Bangor was arrested Monday in Bar Harbor for operating after suspension.

Also on Monday, Brian Bolles, 36, no address given, was issued a summons for theft of a book from the library at College of the Atlantic.

The Ellsworth Fire Department fought two consecutive fires Tuesday afternoon. The first, reported at 12:10 p.m., burned more than 2 acres of property owned by Foster Gray off Fire Road 64A in Ellsworth near Dedham.

Officials said the fire was a permit burn that got out of control.

The Dedham-Lucerne Fire Department provided mutual aid.

At about 2:30 p.m., the Ellsworth department was called to local Phillips Landing, where they worked for four hours on a woods fire that burned about 4 acres. The only property damage was to trees, officials said. The cause of that fire is not known.

Norman R. Hall, 33, Bangor, issued summons on charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

Tabatha L. Coombs, 25, Franklin, arrested on charge of operating a motor vehicle after license suspension.
