MILBRIDGE — The board of directors of the Washington-Hancock Community Agency is seeking nominations for its District 1 Hancock County board representative.
Low-income citizens of the district will vote for their representative on March 26. Anyone who is interested in issues facing the poor is urged to become a candidate.
The agency board has equal representation from the public, private and low income sectors of the area its serves. District 1, Hancock County includes the communities of Amherst, Aurora, Blue Hill, Dedham, Eastbrook, Ellsworth, Gouldsboro, Great Pond, Mariaville, Osborn, Otis, Sorrento, Sullivan, Surry, Waltham and Winter Harbor.
