In Pittsfield, police are investigating vandalism at Manson Park School and a series of thefts at Vickery School.

According to Officer Ron Richards, a radio, money from a soda machine and small amounts of cash from teachers’ desks have been reported missing over the past few weeks at Vickery School. At Manson Park School, Superintendent of Schools Terry McCannell said that intruders threw books and papers, glue, hand cream, glitter and other school supplies throughout the building. The incident was reported Thursday morning.

Maine State Warden Philip Dugas arrested three Massachusetts men early Thursday for night hunting. Andrew Waring, 48, William Waring, 22, both of Methuen, Mass., and Alexander Messina, 48, of Lawrence, Mass., were arrested.

In addition, Andrew Waring was charged with possession of a concealed weapon and possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle.

In Hartland, Somerset County Deputy Steve Emery detained a juvenile after he allegedly assaulted another juvenile on Commercial Street Thursday afternoon.

Skowhegan Police Officer Don Lowe arrested Christopher Dubois, 22, of Skowhegan late Wednesday for failure to appear on charges of theft, theft by unauthorized taking and failure to turn himself in at the Somerset County Correctional Facility for unpaid fines.

In Anson, Sgt. William Crawford of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Department arrested Richard Oliver, 23, of Jay on Thursday, charging him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor and eluding a police officer.
