ELLSWORTH — The University of Maine Center at Ellsworth will offer more than 40 courses during the fall semester. Day and evening classes are available to meet the busy schedules of working people and individuals with family responsibilities.
Some of the courses include: Academic Reading and Writing Skills, Art Appreciation, Introduction to Biology, Finance and Control for Small Business, Forming the Small Business, Business, Professional and Technical Writing, Major Women Writers, Literature and Exploration of Human Values, Environmental Ecology, American Foreign Policy, Diet Therapy, Algebra, Basic Arithmetic, Introduction to Psychology, Community Mental Health, Introduction to Early Childhood Special Education, Case Management, Models of Addiction, Psychology of Adolescence, Academic and Career Planning Seminar, and Introduction to the Legal System.
All of these courses are available at the Ellsworth Center, and most classes, day and evening, will be offered at Deer Isle-Stonington Junior-Senior High School, Mount Desert Island Regional High School and Sumner Memorial High School.
