Hartland selectmen review applications for permits

HARTLAND — Building permits were the primary focus of the Hartland selectmen at their Wednesday afternoon meeting.

The board reviewed nine applications for permits, many from lakeshore property owners. Applications were for a new camp on the Cianchette Road, a garage on Great Moose Drive and a deck replacement on Commodore East Road. The board also reviewed a request to remodel a camp and a request for a storage building. Another property owner requested permission to construct three hunting camps on the Old County Road.

Other applications were to construct a screened porch on Seekins Street and to place a new mobile home.

Selectmen in their capacity as town assessors have completed the majority of the revaluations on renovated and new properties.

Town Manager Peggy Morgan reported that letters will be mailed next week to property owners of back lots on the Commodore East Road. The town is seeking easements to the lots to correct a drainage problem. With preparation in 1991, Morgan has said the work itself could be completed in 1992.

The selectmen will meet in conjunction with the town’s Comprehensive Planning Committee at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in the town hall band room.
