GREENVILLE — Twenty-one people applied for the position of principal at Greenville High School. Of the 21 applicants, 10 were selected to have interviews before a screening committee.
Superintendent Gilbert Reynolds said that the initial interviews will be conducted on April 26 and 27. He hoped to be able to make a nomination at the Greenville School Board’s meeting in May.
Reynolds said there was a lot of local interest shown in the position, but would not say if any local candidates were among the 10 to be interviewed. He said that the school directors, the teaching staff and the public would like to see new ideas at that level.
