CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Jeremy Nobis of Park City, Utah, and Robbie Parisien of Auburn went one-two for the second day in a row in FIS racing action at Sugarloaf/USA here Wednesday.
In 50 degree weather, Nobis and Parisien finished first and second in the giant slalom for the second day in a row at a preseason race that included 70 skiers from seven countries.
Nobis had the quickest second run of the day to overtake Parisien, who had the quickest first run. Nobis finished with a 1:49.86 time for both runs. Parisien was second in 1:50.44
Switzerland’s Christian Bruesch was third in 1:51.12 over Sugarloaf’s Narrow Gauge trail.
The race, which was changed for a super G to a GS due to conditions, is the final preseason race of the season for skiers.
World Cup and Nor/AM action kicks off over the next couple of weeks for the skiers.
