FARMINGTON – Chris Bessey scored 30 points to power the University of Maine-Farmington to a 153-102 men’s basketball victory over Daniel Webster College of Nashua, N.H., here Tuesday.
The Beavers sank a total of 17 three-point goals. Paul True led the way with 20 points, including 4 three-pointers, and 10 assists for the 3-0 Beavers.
Tom Fifield and Wes Daggett netted 17 points each, while Doug Sautter contributed 12 on 4 three-pointers. Dale Storey contributed 12 points and 9 rebounds
For the 0-3 Eagles, Mark Goodwin led with 22 points and Peter Hackett and Rob Dufresne added 20 points each. Kevin Weldon and David Lewis chipped in with 18 points apiece.
