LIMESTONE — Suellen Marie Ryder was one of two students honored at “a celebration of academic exellence at UNH” during the recent parents weekend at the University of New Hampshire.
After a reception and an address by University President Dale Nitzschke, Ryder was presented a $1,000 scholarship by Don Nelson, president of the UNH Parents Association.
Ryder was nominated for the award by her adviser in recognition of academic achievement, university activities, and volunteer commitment to the student community. She is a dean’s list student, a peer adviser, member of SCOPE, a Kool Aid counselor, and a member of Outstanding College Students of America, Golden Key National Honor Society and Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Science.
A 1987 graduate of Limestone High School, Dyer is a senior at the University of New Hampshire. She is the daughter of Bernard and Nancy Ryder of Limestone.
