Life goes on after the elections

…After all of the campaigning is all over, the opponent of the opposite party will come out and shake hands with his opponent and encourage us, the public, to give to him our total support to that person in office, whomever he might be. But what will there be left to support him with after all of the face-slapping, mud-slinging, backstabbing, character-crumbling that has shattered my faith in the person in office? What will there be left to support the person elected?

I have lived down through the years and so have you without knowing the negative things about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and I am sure that as no other person on earth, they did not walk on water either….

There will be life after the election, folks. We have instant coffee, instant mashed potatoes, but we have no recipe for restoration of a shattered faith, for the character crushed or faith in the person has been ruined in the person that has now been elected into office, once it has been ruined.
