Committee mulls plans for kitchen

OWLS HEAD — Now that the community building has been finished and dedicated, the kitchen and meeting room committee has turned its attention to plans for finishing these two rooms.

A meeting, called by Jane Newcomb, was held for this purpose last Tuesday night at the new building. Plans for the basement kitchen were discussed.

Several thousand dollars have been raised through public suppers and donations. From this sum 12 tables have been purchased, as well as a large commercial-type used electric range. Double sinks, a refrigerator and kitchen cabinets are neded. Covering for the counters will be of Formica.

The date and time of the next meeting will be announced.

Among those attending the meeting Tuesday night were Louis Mathieson, Adriel Fales, Connie Painter, Evelyn Eilers, Eleanor Stanley, Jane Newcomb and Vera Mathieson, who serves as secretary of the group.
