AUGUSTA — “Rockhounders Roundup,” a show dedicated to the rockhounding hobby, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12, at the National Guard Armory on Western Avenue.
The show is a non-traditional event, according to chairman Ron LePage.

There will be guest speakers on dowsing and gold-panning techniques.
A story of gold-panning in Maine, “Next Bend in the River,” by C.J. Stevens, will be on sale and the author will be available to sign copies.
